Hi everyone, In my experience I've always had trouble with Peronoceras in Shale here Now I'm finding increasing amounts of 'bad splits' among the mud/silt/clay finds. Bogus. 😡 I love Saltwick Bay, have any of you guys experienced a difference in your finds recently. You're, (quite peed off) Jimmy.

Collecting fossils at Saltwick Bay can be very dangerous. The cliffs are constantly losing pieces from small flakes of shale to massive boulders of sandstone. Dactylioceras ammonites are common in nodules at Saltwick Bay. At the small bay, the Dogger Formation reaches beach level. The famous Whitby Plant Bed here yields fossil plants.
